Youth Nutrition Education

Food Stamp Nutrition Education Program (FSNEP)

Youth FSNEP offers nutrition education to youth in schools that have 50% or more students receiving free/reduced price meals.  Youth FSNEP program in Riverside County focuses on school gardens and youth in middle schools.  Youth FSNEP uses train-the-trainer method to deliver nutrition lessons to youth in a group setting.  Youth FSNEP staff train teachers and volunteer leaders to conduct nutrition activities from age appropriate FSNEP curriculum.  The program is available at no cost to schools that qualify for FSNEP.
